Celtic Cookie Stamp

What could be better on a brisk winter day than a cup of tea and a plate of hot cookies? Spice up your next batch of cookies with this fun little Celtic cookie stamp.

Glazed stoneware stamp measures about 1.5" tall and 2" in diameter. Just press into a ball of cookie dough before baking - Celtic pattern bakes into tops of cookies.

With each cookie stamp, you'll receive a free recipe booklet. This lovely booklet includes instructions for use and care, plus eight delicious recipes perfect for use with the cookie press. (The unbelievable peanut butter cookies are fantastic!) This booklet also includes tips on how to use the cookie press for clay casting or paper casting!

Mom Wilkins' Famous Jello Cookies

1 1/2 cups margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1 6 oz package of jello (lime or cherry)
1/4 t. baking powder
3 1/2 cups of flour

Preheat oven to 400. Cream margarine, and blend in egg and sugar. Add vanilla and jello, and blend. Blend in dry ingredients. Optional- chill for 15 minutes. Roll out into smallish round balls, and press with fork or cookie stamp. Bake for 8 minutes. Makes about 60 2" cookies.

As I remember, this dough was fun with cookie cutters, too. Pre-chilling the dough is a must if using with cookie cutters. I still make a lime and cherry (green and red) batch of these very unhealthy cookies every December. Christmas just isn't the same without them.
