123Bead October 2007 Newsletter
We’ve had a busy couple of weeks here in our little corner of Virginia. We’ve been enjoying this beautiful Indian Summer, and oddly enough – taking care of a baby peacock! Our neighbors have a few peafowl, and ended up with a single hatchling this year. Knowing that we’re bird lovers, they offered the peacock (or peahen) to us, and we’ve been “baby sitting” him since early September. We haven’t formally decided to keep the little fella, but we’re getting awfully close. This little guy or gal is incredibly affectionate, and loves to be where we are when ever possible. Here’s a fun snapshot at about three weeks old:

And here is another of bird and boy hanging out (after bedtime stories). Oh, and yes, someone is loosing teeth..

Of course being a little over two months old now, he/she is about five times as big now as when we got him/her. I’ll send some updates in the next newsletter.
In the mean time, I hope ya’ll are enjoying the beauty of the season, and as ever – happy beading! — Erin
